Beauty to rival Swarovski – protein crystals in CrystalSlide

Frickenhausen, [28 July 2009] – Greiner Bio-One GmbH has developed a new platform for the production and analysis of protein crystals. CrystalSlide for counter diffusion applications enables crystals to be analysed in an X-ray source and is also suitable for applications with polarised and UV light.

CELLview improves microscopic vision

Sensitive, specific and fast – external validation of CytoCheck mycoplasma test kit completed

Frickenhausen – [03/17/2009] - The international congress “2009 PDA, 3rd Workshop on Mycoplasmas”, to be held in Berlin from 24 to 26 March, offers scientists from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, research institutes and external contract laboratories a platform to discuss new detection methods for mycoplasmas. Greiner Bio-One GmbH will be presenting its innovative DNA chip CytoCheck, which enables 40 mycoplasmas to be detected in cell cultures at species level.

Invitrogen and Greiner Bio-One Team to Increase HPV Test Reliability

Carlsbad, Calif and Frickenhausen, Germany, June 25, 2007 – Invitrogen Corporation (NASDAQ:IVGN), a provider of essential life science technologies for disease research and drug discovery, and Greiner Bio-One, an internationally leading technology partner for the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industry, have finalized a licensing agreement to help improve the reliability of Greiner Bio-One’s HPV-DNA-test PapilloCheck® and DNA-array CytoCheck® products. The agreement covers the rights for the use of dUTP (deoxyuridine triphosphate) in PCR-based (polymerase chain reaction) methods to prevent sample contamination by amplification products in aerosols.

HPV-Test PapilloCheck® is available immediately

IVD-conformance confirmed for the ParoCheck® DNA-Chip

Frickenhausen, 10 May 2005 – Greiner Bio-One GmbH, internationally leading technology partner for the diagnostic and pharmaceutical industry, has received confirmation of a complete and correct guideline-conformance rating for its Pa-roCheck® DNA-chip for the detection of periodontal pathogens. Specifically, the testing agency LGA InterCert GmbH in Nürnberg finds the chip in compliance with the European guideline for in-vitro diagnostics (IVD). Greiner Bio-One views this positive result as an important signal for the development of further biochips for the diagnostic market, as well as a milestone towards the certification of its innovative DNA-chip for the US-American market.
